Privacy, plainly.

No accounts, no ads, no cookies, and no third-party analytics or trackers. Here is everything the site does collect.

When you click through to an app

Links to an app’s website or App Store page go through our own address first, so we can count the click. We store which app, which of its links, which of our pages you came from, and your country. The country is looked up from your IP address on our own server, using GeoLite2 data created by MaxMind, and then the address is dropped: we never store it or send it anywhere, and we store nothing that identifies your browser. Makers who feature their app get these counts as totals, never per visitor.

When you submit an app

We store what you type into the form: the app’s details, your name if you give it, and your email. We use the email only to reply about your app. Submissions stay until you ask us to delete them.

When you sign up for the newsletter

We store your email address, whether you’ve confirmed it, and when. We send you one email to confirm, and nothing else until you do. Every issue has an unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe we keep the address marked as unsubscribed, only so it’s never mailed again. Ask us and we’ll delete it entirely.

When you pay to feature an app

Payments are handled by Polar, which is the seller of record and takes the card details; we never see them. Polar tells us your email, the amount and an order number, which we keep to match the payment to your app, schedule it and send your report.

When you email us

We keep the conversation so we can reply and follow up, and use it for nothing else.

What stays in your browser

Your browser remembers two things on your device: whether sounds are on, and that you’ve seen the intro. They are never sent to us.

Who else is involved

The site is hosted by Hostinger, the database (including the newsletter list) by Supabase, emails are delivered by Resend, and payments are handled by Polar. They process data only to run the site for us.
