Why it's here
Not for
Anyone happy with the brightness and volume keys. Dimming an external monitor needs an Apple silicon Mac and a monitor that allows it.
About Haptiker
Haptiker turns the edges of your trackpad into sliders: the right edge sets the volume, the left edge the brightness of whichever screen the cursor is on, and the top edge the keyboard backlight. The trackpad ticks as the level changes, and a slide only counts when one finger starts on the edge and runs along it, so scrolling works as before. The bottom edge can switch between recent apps, and it lives in the menu bar.
